MANUFACTURING CAPABILITIES

Precision gravure printing on paper and board

Multi-colour gravure printing that holds colour and register across long runs, on substrates from fine paper to board.

How gravure printing works at Makson

Gravure prints from engraved cylinders. Tiny cells in the cylinder surface carry ink directly to the substrate, which gives the same colour from the first metre of a run to the last.

That consistency, and the ability to print cleanly on thin and delicate papers, is why gravure is the standard for long-run FMCG packaging. Makson prints fine paper, wrapper and board by gravure to each customer’s approved colour standard.
